At the Porcupine Marine Natural History Society conference in Swansea on the 16th and 17th of March. I gave a presentation on my research in the Wakatobi Marine National Park, which can be viewed on my ‘Talks and Conferences’ page. The conference was a great place to meet new scientists and learn about the research some of the society members are undertaking. Frank Evans gave a great talk on the preparations for a transatlantic oceanic voyage and Robin Crump gave a talk about the Asterina sp. in South and West Wales, clearly demonstrating his fascination for the subject. This was a great conference with a good atmosphere and some passionate discussions about science. I had some very interesting conversations about my research and came away with some new and fresh ideas.
